Hello Bloggers,
This will be my first ever blog posting as I have never had the time to blog before. The blog site I am creating here is meant to be an outlet for people to express themselves about random topics and ideas. In this first blog I would like to say that I am very proud and pleased with the out cries of the people yesterday in protest of SOPA and PIPA. I have to admit that up until this point I was not very informed on things to do with bills being passed on censorship and such, but thanks to a couple great friends that is about to change. I protested against SOPA and PIPA yesterday and also encouraged friends to do the same and am very pleased with the results. We as a collective people took and stand and made our voices heard, but we still have a lot of work to do. Speaking only for myself here, Yesterday's protest taught me a lot. First and foremost in those lessons being that I have been not some much accepting, but complacent in letting things happen that I felt personally I had no control over or say so in. I have stood around and whined and complained about things that were happening in our world, but did not make sure my voice was being heard. That was wrong on my part and totally lazy. This blog will hopefully help me to better be involved with what is going on in the world around me and I hope it will encourage others to let their voices be heard as well. All of this being said, I encourage folks to post here and share ideas that may enlighten and strengthen us as a whole. I look forward to seeing where this will take my life and my involvement in the issues at hand.
